We use what some would consider "heavy handed" copyright notices
and watermarks. This is to protect both us and you. By reducing internet
theft of images and hotlinking, we keep close watch on usage of each of
our images.

A darker background frames the viewed image, making it easier for you
to see than if surrounded by glaring white or (?).

Rights Managed
Usage (RM)
We manage each usage of Rights Managed (RM) images. You license only the
specific rights that you require. You can prevent competitors from using
image, or buy non-exclusive unlimited usage. In many cases you can license
exclusive use of image.
Royalty
Free Usage (RF)
Rights are cleared for most usage except selling/licensing/distributing
the file or image itself. Licensed for repeated usage on up to 3 computers
in a single office. OK for most usages both editorial and commercial.
How
can we offer (RM) OR (RF) on the same image?
I am glad you asked. Most stock images are released with either Rights
Managed(RM) or Royalty Free(RF) usage available. We have thousands of
images and only some have been licensed to anyone ever. Thousands of fresh
images are here for you to use first, or exclusively. If an image is shown
available as both RM and RF, then that particular image has not been licensed
to date. In this case you can choose either RM or RF. The initial licensing
of these images will determine that image's future usage, you decide!
Since these images were all created in house we have impeccable records
of image licensing.
Personal
Use
You plan to use images or photos for personal use only. Modification or
reproduction including scanning is not permitted.
Editorial
Use
Images published by news, media or other party with primary intention
of sharing information. We will supply images for most legitimate media
requests for a nominal fee.
Commercial
Images or prints are to be sold, given away or published in material either
for sale or used to promote a product or person. No prints may be used
for commercial use under any circumstances. We provide digital files specifically
tailored to publisher's needs.
Stock
Images
Images that we (PictureChasers) have photographed, edited and catalogued,
often created initially with no specific end user in mind. We have over
10,000 first quality Stock Images online from over 20 years of photography.
An additional 20,000 stock photos are available offline for your use.
Custom
Stock Images
Unique to PictureChasers.com! After discussing your specific needs, we
may choose to offer you our Custom Stock Image service. We create our
own stock images that include your requested material. You select and
purchase only the rights that you need for the images that you require
(RM or RF). The total cost of images is spread between you, us, and future
clients. You are the one who provides the initial specs, get the shot
YOU want!
Adjust
your monitor to best view our site and ALL OTHER sites on the

Many monitors are adjusted poorly or not at all. You
can easily adjust your brightness & contrast settings on most monitors
to greatly improve your view of the web, including of course our own images.
The image below shows 11 shades of grey from White to Black. If you cannot
see all 11, adjust your monitor to see as many as possible using
your Brightness & Contrast settings.
Feel free to use this image on your own site if you wish. We certainly
didn't invent this idea but took the time to create our own image
and post for the benefit of all. Pass it Forward!
Adjust
your screen resolution for easier web viewing
You can choose a balance of text size vs how much
of a web page is displayed on your monitor.
- Right-Click on desktop (Windows) to "Properties"
- Click "Settings" tab
- Adjust "Screen Resolution" to your preference.
This site displays well in "800 * 600" and best in "1024
* 768", the two most common monitor resolutions. Higher resolutions
will work fine too.
